old town eureka
Listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places, Old Town Eureka is the thriving cultural heart of the city of Eureka. Walk through streets lined with classic Victorian architecture, art galleries, boutiques, locally made food and craft cocktails. Or hike through our local redwoods and still get home in time for dinner.
HUMBOLDT BAY
Humboldt Bay is the tourist destination of a lifetime. We've got enormous sand dunes, epic surfing, oyster farm tours, and the best kayaking in the West.
All of the options can be overwhelming for visitors, so we suggest starting your trip planning with Tour Humboldt, an adventure lifestyle magazine focused on life around the Bay.
arcata
The Arcata Plaza is the focal point of the small college town of Arcata. The grassy square is flanked by vintage shopping, badass cocktails, artisanal expresso, and outdoor hot tubs. We suggest starting your perfect Arcata day with yoga and ending it with a beer and an independent film.
Redwood National PARK & REDWOOD STATE Parks
Whether you want to hike, bike, or drive through our redwoods, you can choose your own adventure. Our favorite hikes and rides take you through old-growth forests, fern canyons, and desolate beaches. And a scenic drive through the Avenue of the Giants will give you a taste not just of our trees, but our community.
Samoa Drag Strip
Our boutique hotel is adjacent to Samoa Drag Strip, a historic racing grounds that hosts street-legal races April through September. Races are family-friendly and feature classic cars, motorcycles, and electric vehicles. Humboldt Bay Social Club hosts special events on race days.
Arts in A Boat
On the first Saturday of every month, Old Town Eureka stays out late for Arts Alive. Galleries, shops, and restaurants extend their hours and the streets are filled with live music and performers. Humboldt Bay Provisions throws a party in its boat-shaped "parklet" every Arts Alive from 6pm-9pm. Join them for grilled oysters, beer, wine, and art.
