Humboldt Bay Social Club Large Group Reservation (LGR) Guidelines
To host a gathering at the Humboldt Bay Social Club, please submit a Large Group Reservation Request (LGR). This process helps us ensure proper staffing, adequate supplies, manageable crowd levels, and a safe experience for everyone.
Key Points to Note:
LGRs are only available for outdoor picnic areas.
Indoor spaces (Hangar, Lobby Bar, and Clubhouse) are not available for LGRs.
A Large Group consists of 25 to 49 people, including children. Groups larger than 49 require a Private Event Rental.
Outside alcohol, food, tents, pop-ups, glitter, and confetti are strictly prohibited.
To make a reservation, complete the online reservation form. Be sure to include:
The number of people in your group.
The number of picnic tables you’d like to reserve.
A brief description of your gathering.
Important: Incomplete forms cannot be processed. You will receive an email confirmation once your request is reviewed and approved. Please note that space is limited, and not all requests may be accommodated.
LGR Policies:
Reservations Required: All LGRs must be made in advance and approved by staff. Groups arriving without a reservation may be asked to leave.
Table and Grill Use: Groups may reserve up to two picnic tables and grills (one table and grill per 25 guests). Fire pits and indoor spaces are not reservable.
No Outside Alcohol/Food: Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. A celebratory dessert (e.g., cake or cupcakes) is allowed, but all packaging and trash must be packed out.
Shared Spaces: You are welcome to use unreserved outdoor spaces on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please limit your group’s use to two picnic areas to accommodate others.
Check-In: All groups must check in with staff before setting up.
Decorations: Decorations must be confined to your reserved table and chairs. Glitter, confetti, balloons, and wall hangings are not allowed. Tents and pop-ups are prohibited.
Parking: Parking is not allowed in front of the hangars or beyond the fence line. Private Event Rentals have priority parking, and availability may be limited.
Non-Exclusive Access: LGRs do not include exclusive access to indoor spaces, fire pits, or other areas outside your reserved picnic table and grill. Please note that Private Events may have exclusive access to certain areas.
Compliance: All groups must adhere to state and local laws, ordinances, and codes. Failure to comply may result in additional charges or your group being asked to leave.
